VALAIS BLACKNOSE SHEEP

At this time, we already have a large portion of our upcoming fall lambs under contract. Since we don't know if we are having boys or girls, we've stopped taking deposits until we have actual lambs on the ground in October. Please contact Margo at info@wandermentfarms.com if you are interested in getting on a waitlist.

Maverick $5000

94% Valais Ram. 2 years old. Proven stud with top notch results. His past babies are 100% Valais looks and 100% Valais personality. He's in his second season with us, but we are looking to diversify our genetic pool for 2026. It's time for Maverick to find other ladies to love. He's very used to people, chickens, llamas, cows, and dogs. Maverick will be ready for new pastures starting July, 2025. We have animal transporters to recommend if needed.

Fred the Friend $350

This 2 year old babydoll whether is a total cutie. We got him to keep Maverick company, but he would rather follow around our llamas instead. He'll eat food out of your hand, but is a bit skittish. He's curious about the world around him, and will never turn down food.

Valais Blacknose Sheep are called 'the cutest sheep in the world' for a reason. Their black faces and knees, curly locks, and sparkling personalities just seal the deal. They also make incredible pets, lawnmowers, and do very well with milking. Our sheep work our certified organic vineyard from Nov through May, have their lambs in Aug/Sept, and then are milked all fall.

Don’t know the rare Blacknose Valais sheep? The breed has been around since the 15th century. They lived in Switzerland until the first embryos/semen were imported to the US only 5 years ago. There are less than 15,000 Valais Blacknose sheep in the world. In the US, there are less than 500 Valais F3/F4 (85% Valais or more).
